MRA traveled to Catholic High School for the Hampton Roads Erg Pull today! Earning medals were Ray Hudgins- Silver in the U19 Mens event, Sam Tomcany Gold in the Mens U17 event, and Harper Tomcany earning Bronze in the U15 Women's event! Also participating were Will Lang, Bryce Clarke, Jaxon McDonald, Sydney Kollar, and Eloise Leslie. What a GREAT way to wrap up winter erg season! 👏👏👏

Notable finishes were Sam Tomcany earning 5th out of 130 entries in the U17 2,000 meter event and Sydney Kollar, Ray Hudgins, Jaxon McDonald, and Harper Tomcany placing in the top 50% of entries in their events! Also participating were Eloise Leslie, Bryce Clarke, and Will Lang. Congrats rowers!!

Forty plus participants for the first rainy Turkey Trot in recent memory! A soggy, fun time!

Join us Thanksgiving morning for the annual Mobjack Rowing Association Turkey Trot starting at Williams Wharf!

Trotting starts at 8:30 AM so make sure you're there to check in by 8:15! You can walk, run, ride a bike...whatever suits you! The only entry fee is dry and canned goods for Hands Across Mathews!

Come on out and join us for a low stress gathering and some exercise before a day of feasting!

I have the great honor of announcing that alum Doug Sier has been selected to the Mathews High School Athletic Hall of Fame for 2024. Doug has been a constant supporter of the program over the years and is well deserving of this honor!

The Hall of Fame ceremony will take place on Friday, May 17th at 6 PM in the Harry M. Ward Auditorium at MHS. This event is free and open to the public! I hope everyone near and far will send Doug some Mobjack love.
